Alvin Ray Evans, Jr., has been preaching since 1998. He served as Associate Minister and Assistant Pastor to the late, Senior Pastor, A.R. Evans, Sr, of New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church of Austin, Texas. In 2015, Pastor Evans, Jr. joined David Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Joseph C. Parker Jr.: he became involved in several ministries: Men Ministry, Sunday School, and Co-chairperson of Evangelical Ministry. Pastor Evans, Jr. is a member of the (BMU) Baptist Minister Union of Austin, Texas, serving and participating in the program and proudly supports the Union financially and its values both the curriculum and education established by the BMU of Austin.
Pastor Alvin Ray Evans, Jr, is a native of Austin, Texas. He studied at the St. Edwards University and where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History. He is currently seeking a master’s degree in Theological Studies at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary of Austin, Texas. Pastor Evans, Jr. will receive his Master’s degree in the Spring of 2022.
As an effective orator of God’s Word, Pastor Evans is known for his commitment and love for the Lord and His written word. With a dynamic teaching style, Pastor Evans has the gifted ability to express his excitement through his teaching and preaching to demonstrate to his congregation and other individuals the power of God. Dedicated to a mission of Evangelism while praying that the Saints God would apply the word to their daily lives as they worship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pastor Evans’ mission is to “Outreach and Teach the world the message of salvation.
Pastor Evans and his wife Cedel Evans have been married for over 43 years. They are the parents of three children Alvin III, Alexis, and Arianne. Their children work alongside them and support their ministry.
